The Bellevue City Schools Drama Club empowers students to grow as artists, collaborators, and leaders through the performing arts. Rooted in intent, integrity, and purpose, we cultivate creativity, character, and respect while producing inclusive, high-quality theatrical experiences. Our program reflects the diverse voices of our students, enhances learning, and strengthens community connections—helping students use their talents to make a meaningful impact on stage and beyond.
BHS Drama Club Director
Angela is entering her 14th year as Director of the Bellevue High School Drama Club. She currently serves on the Board of the Ohio Thespian Educational Society, and in 2024 was honored by being named Ohio Thespian Educator of the Year. Her unwavering passion and dedication to Bellevue's theatre students fuels her drive to grow the program and provide every opportunity possible. Over the past three years, her productions - Les Misérables, Phantom of the Opera, and Newsies have all been selected for MainStage at the Ohio Educational State Thespian Conference, a distinction the department is tremendously proud of and hopes to continue achieving. In addition to leading the Bellevue Schools Theatre Department and contributing to the Ohio Thespian Board, Angela is the founder of the Jagged Edge Theatrical Society.

Amy Dendinger is entering her 12th year of teaching and serves as an Intervention Specialist at Bellevue Middle School. Growing up in Columbus, her love for theater was sparked by seeing Broadway productions, which led her to begin taking theater classes. Over the years, Amy has continued to pursue training both on stage and in the technical arts. She made her Bellevue directorial debut with Puffs and now leads the Middle School Drama Club, fostering a passion for the arts in her students. In addition, Amy is an active member of the Bellevue Society for the Arts, serves as Color Guard Director for the Bellevue High School Marching Band.
