Mr. Lewis

Born and raised in Michigan, Mr. Lewis discovered his passion for music during his elementary music class in Big Rapids, Michigan. Since that formative experience, he has been deeply involved in music, participating in numerous ensembles throughout his education. He continued to develop his skills through band and choir at his local schools, laying the foundation for his lifelong commitment to music.

Mr. Lewis earned a Bachelor of Music Education – Band from Brigham Young University–Idaho. During his time there, he performed with a wide range of ensembles, including Concert Band, Rix Stix Drum Line, Tuba Ensemble, Brass Choir, Vocal Choir, Jazz Ensemble, and the BYU–Idaho Symphony Band, where he was also featured as a soloist. Beyond the university, he performed with the Nauvoo Brass Band, Northern Michigan Brass Band, and directed various church choirs.

Dedicated to professional growth and collaboration, Mr. Lewis is an active member of several organizations, including the National Association for Music Education, Michigan Music Educators Association, International Tuba and Euphonium Association, Michigan School Band and Orchestra Association, and the National Band Association.
