Reading & Retelling Choices

1. 1.  Choose and listen to one of the books below from Storyline Online. The book choices are:

• How I met my Monster

• Arnie the Doughnut

• Maddi's Fridge

1.  Create a Google Doc or Google Slides to use when you retell the story. You can click on the Google Doc image above to make a copy for your own story.

2. Change the title of your Google Doc or Slides to your name and the book you have chosen. 

3. Your retell of the story needs to include

Heading - Title of the Book, the authors name and the illustrator.

Characters - Names of all the characters and two words to describe each character.

Retell - Tell the story in your own words: 

How did the story begin? 

What happened in the middle?

What was the problem?

How did the problem get solved?

How did the story end? 

Star rating - Would you recommend this story to others? Why is it a good book? How many stars did you rate it?

Note: If you work on your own, you need to complete one book. If you work with a buddy, you need to complete two books.
