Week of May 11, 2026 

Spelling Words:

No new spelling words this week. We will review spelling words we have learned throughout the year! 

Phonics sounds: Review all phonic sounds from the year

Sight Words: 

This week we will focus on any sight words that your child is struggling with. 

Phonics skill: Review phonics skills from the year 

Comprehension skill: Review comprehension skills from the year        

Math skill: We will identify the penny, nickel, dime, and quarter by their defining attributes.  We will identify the worth of a penny, nickel, dime, and quarter. 

Social Science Skill: Science - We will conclude our studies of Light and Communication  -  Social Studies - We will conclude our studies of Louisiana’s state government.  

Homework: 

Monday- Fun Day!!!

Tuesday- Field Trip!!!!

Wednesday- No Homework!

Thursday- Sight Word Sundae Party 

Friday- 

Monday, May 18th Awards Day @ 8:30 am in the big gym
