Our design philosophy is centered on creating sustainable and low-maintenance landscapes that meet individual needs and reflect the distinctive charm of Gainesville's native flora.
During our one-hour consultation our staff will meet with you at your property, help identify existing site conditions and plant species and then dive into the vibrant world of nature friendly landscaping. From drought-tolerant ground covers, to shade-loving shrubs, to tropical fruit tree potential we'll help you identify the ideal plant species that thrive in Gainesville's unique subtropical climate. We will discuss strategic placement and design principles to maximize visual impact. And go over invasive species that should be removed from your landscape and native plant replacements.
By the end of our consultation, you should be able to identify problematic and invasive species and have a rough idea of how to begin to transform your yard into a haven of natural beauty and environmental stewardship. We charge $60 for consultations.
For an additional fee we can also provide a full tailored yard design. Consultations are done by Travis Mitchell — Owner & Lead Designer and/or Hannah Stringfellow — Landscape Designer & Project Manager and are currently available for online booking on Mondays & Tuesdays only. "I started Bee Good Landscape to utilize nature friendly techniques and designs to create and maintain joyful and useful yards and landscapes. My horticulture journey began in the organic farming world and I want to bring the same ecological centered perspective used in organic farming into the landscape industry.
