Welcome to our 6th Grade Virtual Art Show! This semester, students explored a variety of media and techniques while building their understanding of the elements of art and principles of design.
We began by designing our names in a graffiti style, using bold block letters and focusing on line, shape, and balance. From there, students created watercolor zentangle landscapes, combining peaceful scenery with intricate, repetitive patterns. This project encouraged patience, attention to detail, and contrast while blending organic forms with structured design to create visually engaging compositions.
Finally, students combined color theory and imaginative design to craft whimsical oil pastel donuts that showcase unity, pattern, and emphasis. Each piece reflects growing confidence, originality, and a strong foundation in visual storytelling.
