There are a number of components to a college application - the application, a high school transcript, standardized test scores, the personal statement (college essay), recommendations, an activities resume, and sometimes an interview and portfolio.

Application fees should never be a barrier to applying to college. For more information and/or if you think you may qualify for fee waivers, please speak with your school counselor.
First-year students can choose from a range of admission plans: Regular Decision, Early Action, Early Decision, Open Admissions, Rolling Admission, and Priority Date/Deadline. Each college has their own admission application options so carefully review the application options and deadline information on each college's website.
May 1 is the by which accepted applicants must indicate their intention to enroll at the college they choose to attend. A common reply date, enables students to evaluate all admission decisions and financial aid awards before deciding on any one college.
