About Jazz Band

Jazz Band is an advanced, auditioned group open to students in concert band as well as students who take lessons on guitar, bass, piano and drum set. Jazz Band runs from January through May.

The Jazz Band will perform at Spring Concert on Thursday, May 2nd, 2024

Jazz Band Auditions

Auditions take place in December. Students need to prepare the provided audition material. Audition material is available from Mrs. Wickham beginning November 1st.  A link to sign up for auditions will be posted here following the jazz workshop as outlined in the audition material. The Jazz Band Workshop is Friday, December 1st at 8:00am. Jazz Auditions are December 18th and December 19th. The sign up form has been closed. Please email Mrs. Wickham with any questions. 

Jazz Band Rehearsals

Jazz Band Rehearsals take place on Friday mornings before school January through May. Please arrive to the cafeteria between 7:30 and 7:50am and rehearsals being promptly at 8:00am. Please be sure to bring home all items the night before rehearsal as there is no classroom or locker access before 8:40am. (Rehearsal starts at 8:00am).
