Traffic Procedures on School Grounds
Morning Drop Off
K-4 parents can drop off their children at Memorial School between 7:30 a.m. and 7:55 a.m. Please drive up to the white line just beyond the main entrance. A duty teacher will be available to assist children that are being dropped off beginning at 7:30 a.m. BEEP parents drop off in the back of the school between 8:00 a.m. and 8:10 a.m. BEEP staff will be there to assist.
Parking at Memorial School is limited. Visitor/parent parking is available directly in the front of the school. Please do not park or stop along the side of the building. Busses need to pass and the parking spaces along the side of the building are for Memorial School Staff. Remember, parking is not permitted in the fire lanes. Parking in these areas presents a safety hazard and is prohibited by law. Please reduce your speed on school grounds and observe the no parking, stop, and yield signs. We are fortunate that One Church allows additional parking for us directly across the street from Memorial.
End of School Day Pickup
Children who are waiting for parent pickup will wait inside the building. BEEP students will be brought outside for pickup at 2:10 p.m. Grade K-4 students will begin dismissal at 2:20 p.m. There is no afternoon BEEP pickup on Fridays.
For safety reasons, parents/guardians are asked to line up their vehicles in the lanes in front of the building. Please stay in your vehicle and your child will be brought out to you. BEEP parents will line up first. All K-4 parents will need to line up across the street at One Church until BEEP dismissal is completed and while the lanes are full. A staff member will direct you when to come over to the school. Please do not park along the side of the building where the busses are loading.
The district provides bus transportation “to school” for the morning kindergarten session; and “to home” at the conclusion of the afternoon kindergarten session. Parents/guardians are responsible to “pick their student up” at the conclusion of the morning session; and to “drop their student off” at the start of the afternoon session.
- Note: Parking in the fire lanes is prohibited by law. -
