Google Classroom is a platform that ties together Google's Workspace tools for teachers and students. It also acts as a digital organizer where teachers will share class materials to students and students turn in digital work (when appropriate).
In Grades 3-12:
All announcements, assignments, and other information is posted through Google Classroom. The guardian email summary feature from Google Classroom will be available for interested parents/guardians of students. This allows parents/guardians of students to receive an email sent either daily or weekly (depending on parent/guardian choice), giving an overview of what has been shared out and completed by the student.
In order for parents/guardians to receive the email, they must accept an invitation to start the process. Parents/Guardians receive "view only" access to the Classwork page. Parents are not able to "join classroom" like students can. If parents want to see their child’s work, their child would need to log into their account to show that work. For more information on Email Guardian Summaries, view the presentation.
