6th Grade Band

•  3 ring, 1 inch black binder for music and information storage

7th Grade Band

●        Case Name Tag – Labeled on the handle with a luggage tag or on the side of the case itself.

●        Black 3-Ring Binder with pockets inside the cover

●        5 Dividers – Labeled as: 1. Information, 2. Warm-Ups, 3. Rhythms, 4. Music, 5. Notes

●        Method Book – Essential Elements 2 for 7th grade, Specific to your instrument.

●        Pencil Bag or pouch to be secured inside the binder

●        4 Pencils

●        Highlighter – your choice of color.

●        Music Stand for home practice and to bring to concerts.

●       Percussion students see percussion class materials list : FMS Percussion Packages 2019-2020

8th Grade Bands

Concert/Performance Attire

All students must have the proper attire for every performance. Please plan ahead. This is a required part of their performance.

6th and 7th Grade Bands

Ladies

●       Solid white, sleeved dress shirt (must cover shoulders)

●       Long solid black skirt or pants (skirt must cover knees while sitting)

●       Solid black dress shoes with appropriate black stockings or socks (Please – NO tennis shoes or flip flops)

Gentlemen

●       Solid white dress shirt with collar – (no t-shirts)

●       Solid black dress pants

●       Solid black dress shoes and socks (Please – NO tennis shoes or flip flops-socks must be calf length)

8th Grade Bands

Concert Band requirements are the same as 6th and 7th grade bands.

Symphonic Band will be assigned a school uniform. Students will need to provide solid black dress shoes and socks for the uniform. Male students who participate in marching band at JF may use their marching shoes.
