Careers

Our Aims & Visions

We are committed to providing our students with the highest quality of Careers, Education, Information, Advice and Guidance. This is in accordance with our statutory duty to provide students with a broad and stable curriculum that prepares them for adulthood.

The ways in which we achieve this is by embedding Careers Related Learning (CRL) into our curriculum, through a wide range of lessons, enrichment activities and employer encounters.

The careers programme is delivered in a meaningful and appropriate way to meet the individual needs and circumstances of our students.

Our central aim is to improve our students social mobility, by unlocking their talents and helping them to reach their full potential.

The latest statistical data for England reveals that only 4.8% of people with learning difficulties are in paid employment (British Association for Supported Internship 2022)

In light of this, our vision is to ensure that students are better prepared for the world of work, and have greater pathway opportunities into the labour market.

Immediate Actions

We believe family involvement is crucial for the overall development and pathway decisions our students make; therefore, we actively welcome parents and carers to be a part of the career events and workshops  we host.
