3rd Grade Music Activities

Semester 1

Steady Beat Clap Phrase

• Walk the steady beat with the drum rhythm.

• Clap at the end of the phrase when the drum stops.

• Decode the length of the phrase, counting the steady beats.

Cup Passing

• Learning cup routine.

• Measure the speed with the BPM (Tempo)

• Perform with different styles fo music with different tempo

• Add complexity with passing the cup.

Pathway Music

• listen and react to which pathway music you hear. (straight, curvy, zigzag)

• practice managing personal space while moving.
