About Me:
This year marks my 25th year in the classroom and I still love each and every minute with your children!
I graduated from the University of Dayton a loooooong time ago (1998). Go Flyers!
I live in Huber Heights with my husband, Matt and our two children, Andrew (14) and Adalyn (11) and our three pets: Hank (yellow Lab), Oreo (black and white rabbit) and Izzy (black, white and tan guinea pig)
I began my teaching career in Mad River just down the road at Saville Elementary where I taught 3rd and 4th grade for 6 years.
I came to Shaw in 2004 and taught 4th grade before moving to 5th Grade 13 years ago. I LOVE 5th Graders!!! They are by far my favorite group of children to work with.
I teach Science and 5th and 6th Grade Math.
My favorite thing about being a teacher is when I see kids do what they thought was once impossible.
In my spare time I like to play with my children, read, listen to music and go for a run or walk.
Please feel free to email me at any time at jennifer.volk@gocreek.org with questions or concerns.

Please remember to have your child use their agenda on a nightly basis to be sure they are keeping up with homework and assignments.
Your child may bring in a water bottle and small healthy snack each day. Water fountains will be turned on this year, we also have 2 filling stations in the building.
Chromebooks should be charged NIGHTLY at home please! We do not have charging stations in the classroom this year.
We love to celebrate birthdays in our classroom but we ask that you do not send in edible birthday treats due to allergies. Please consider other items such as pencils, erasers, stickers, etc...
We are implementing the PAX Good Behavior Game in our classroom and in our school this year. Please check your child's red folder for more information in the coming weeks.
