Resources for Math & Science
Last year, Beavercreek City Schools adopted new math curriculum for 5th grade. We will be using Into Math again this year. Your child will be supplied with 2 workbooks. These workbooks act as your child’s interactive textbook. We also use green spiral notebooks for making notes to our “Future Forgetful Selves”.
In addition to these in-class resources, students can also access Into Math materials online through CLEVER→HMH ED LEARNING PLATFORM on their Chromebooks. They can access a digital version of their workbooks, interactive lessons, online games, family resources and more!
In Google Classroom, I post links to helpful videos related to our current topics. In addition, I post answer keys to problems we have used to check our understanding in class. I usually only request a portion of the available problems be completed by students. Any unused questions can be used at home for additional practice.
This year, we are again using Science Fusion for 5th grade science. Your child will be supplied with a workbook. This workbook will act as your child’s interactive textbook. We also use yellow spiral notebooks for compiling notes.
In addition to these in-class resources, students can also access Science Fusion materials online through CLEVER→HMH THINK CENTRAL on their Chromebooks. They can access a digital version of their workbooks, digital lessons, virtual labs, and more!
