Hello fantabulous 4th graders! My name is Mrs. Kahlig and I am so excited to be working with you and your parents. This is my 30th year teaching 4th grade. I started teaching 4th grade at Main Elementary and moved to Trebein when we opened.
I graduated from Wright State University with an Elementary Education degree. Go Raiders! I found my true love of teaching reading when I graduated from the University of Dayton with a Reading master’s degree. Go Flyers! I love teaching math using our thinking classroom. We will put our math caps on and dive into thinking deeper about math. We have so many cool topics that we will cover this year.
I live in Beavercreek with my husband, two daughters, and our two boxers, Bentley and Arlo. We are so excited to have them in our family and find ourselves laughing at them all the time. I cannot wait to share Bentley and Arlo stories with you. Both of my daughters are at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. My oldest daughter, Ava, is a senior. My youngest daughter, Nora, is a freshman.
When I’m not teaching, I enjoy reading, boating, golfing, playing with Bentley and Arlo, and doing things with my family and friends.
Can’t wait to get to know you!
To the parents, please don’t hesitate to send me an email or note to help me learn about your child. I look forward to working with you and your child.
Mrs. Kahlig
