Friends Show Choir was established in 1972, as an offshoot of the vocal music program at Beavercreek High School. A group of friends started meeting after school to sing more modern/contemporary music. This is how the group was named, and a show choir was born. The first group was under the direction of Ms. Pat Fox. This small group grew into a "swing choir", the predecessor to modern show choirs, under the directorship of Mr. Thomas Guthrie. As the years progressed, the group evolved into a true show choir. For 33 years, the dedicated leadership of Mrs. Sharon Busch propelled Friends into new heights. The group became known for their beautiful vocal sound and began competing successfully across the Midwest bringing home numerous Grand Champion and caption awards. Now under the direction of Mr. Jason Enneking, a former Friends alumni, the group embraces the tradition of excellence and continues to prove itself as one of the finest show choirs Ohio has to offer.
If you have any group pictures from missing years we'd love to add them. Please email them to jason.enneking@gocreek.org
