Friends is the show choir from Beavercreek High School, in Beavercreek Ohio. They have been entertaining audiences for more than forty years. The group is comprised of 47 singer/dancers, a 20 piece combo, and 15 member crew who represent some of the best students that Beavercreek High School has to offer. The group is highly respected and known for their beautiful vocal sound and have won many awards throughout their history. The group is directed by Jason Enneking, Vanessa Genatempo (Assistant Director), Emma Fitzpatrick (Combo Director), Dean Berry (Crew Chief), and is choreographed by Randy Sage and Shane Coe.
Jason Enneking is the director of Friends Show Choir, from Beavercreek High School, and Entourage Show Choir from Ankeney and Coy Middle Schools in Beavercreek, Ohio. For 14 years Mr. Enneking was the director of Connection Show Choir from Ankeney Middle School. Under Mr. Enneking’s leadership, Connection grew as a performing ensemble, and earned numerous grand champion honors in competitions around the tri-state area in the past several years. Mr. Enneking looks forward to continuing the fine tradition of musicianship with Entourage in the years ahead. This will mark Mr. Enneking's eighth year directing Friends Show Choir. Under his direction, and his students' hard work, Friends continues to prove itself as one of the finest show choirs Ohio has to offer.
Mr. Enneking is a native of Beavercreek. He is a proud alum of both Connection and Friends Show Choirs in Beavercreek. Mr. Enneking graduated magna cum laude from Wright State University where he earned both his Bachelors and Masters degrees. Mr. Enneking was honored to be chosen as an “Outstanding Classroom Teacher” for the Beavercreek City Schools in the year 2007 for his work with the students of Beavercreek. Mr. Enneking is excited and honored to lead the Beavercreek Show Choir family.
Vanessa Genatempo is from Lubbock, TX where she attended Texas Tech University on a dance scholarship. After graduating with a degree in Secondary Education, she taught high school in Lubbock for 10 years. She was the Parent Ambassador for Lincoln Public School District in MA where she also directed and choreographed their school musicals as well as directed the murder mystery dinner theatre productions for Hanscom AFB. After returning to OH, she became involved with the various Beavercreek show choirs and also choreographs the BHS Spring musicals. She's looking forward to an awesome year for all the show choirs and is thrilled to be a part of it!
Emma is a 2016 graduate from Beavercreek High School. She graduated in 2020 from the University of Dayton with a degree in music education with trombone as her primary instrument. During her time at the University of Dayton, Emma participated in ensembles including Symphonic Wind Ensemble, University Jazz Band, Dayton Jazz Ensemble, Trombone Ensemble, Pride of Dayton Marching Band, and Choral Union. She has also had the opportunity to staff high school marching band camps and pit orchestras and play with the Kettering Praise Orchestra. Currently, Emma currently teaches music at Holy Angels and directs the Eagle Pride Marching Band for Chaminade Julienne High School. While at Beavercreek, she participated in middle and high school show choir combos and now has the honor of directing these ensembles. Her combos have earned numerous Best Combo awards under her direction.
Shane Coe is a freelance choreographer, adjudicator, and clinician based in Columbus, Ohio. He graduated from Teays Valley High School where he was a part of the award winning "Prominent Rendition." Shane is a graduate of Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Popular Culture and a minor in music. Shane also studied music education for four years while at BGSU. He currently choreographs for many show choirs across the country and has won many best choreography awards working with these groups. Shane has also choreographed for collegiate operas, musicals, a capella groups, and barbershop choruses. He was a member of the BGSU Men's Chorus as well as a founding member of the pop a capella group, the HeeBeeBGs. While with the HeeBeeBGs, he helped the group with best choreography at ICCA. In his free time, Shane enjoys reading and hanging out with his dog, Wrigley.
