High School Competition Cheer Tryout Information
Pre-Tryout Informational Meeting- Tues March 31st 6:00pm in the BHS Commons
Tryouts for comp cheer will be with sideline cheer this year. Girls trying out for comp cheer will learn the material from the sideline clinics and attend the same tryout day.
Clinics-
Clinics will be held on April 13, 14, & 15th from 6-9pm in the Ferguson Gym. All material for tryouts will be taught at these clinics. They are required unless the cheerleader has a conflict due to a spring sport. Please let Coach Duley know if this is the case.
Tryouts-
Tryouts will be held on April 17th beginning at 5pm in the Ferguson Gym.
Cheerleaders will tryout individually. They will do the cheer and dance taught to them at clinics as well as jumps (Toe touch, hurdler, double toe touch and jump combo) and then any tumbling they have (standing and running).
Requirements for Final Forms/Physicals-
In order to participate in clinics, all cheerleaders must be signed up on Final Forms PRIOR to the first clinic. To do this, make sure you have a Final Forms account, switch to the 26-27 school year and under the PARENT account, select "Winter Competition Cheer" as your sport.
Prior to tryouts, all cheerleaders must have a current physical on file with the athletic office. These can be uploaded directly through Final Forms (preferred) or they can be brought to clinics with you and turned in if needed.
