Thank you for visiting my website. I am a celebrating 20 years of teaching in middle and high school math classrooms in Greenville, South Carolina and Beaufort, South Carolina. In 2023, I was recognized as Battery Creek's Teacher of the Year and went on to become a Top 5 Finalist for Beaufort County's district teacher of the year program. 

My philosophy of teaching mathematics is that every student is capable of learning and understanding math concepts with the help of direct instruction and explorations within each concept. It is my desire to create a learning environment that fosters curiosity and also challenges learners with different abilities. A student once told me that he had never met a teacher like me. When I asked him what he meant he responded by saying you're different. I can talk to you, you can laugh with us, but you also teach and we can understand what you want us to learn. I strive to build relationships with my students and have fun while I am teaching.
