Quarter 1 ends on October 8, 2025
Make this upcoming school week one of the best ever by being proactive.
This week in addition to this week's Geometry lessons on Transformations we will focus on Habit 1: Be Proactive
Reminder: ZAP assignments and IXL makeups are due tomorrow. IXL grades will only be updated with work shown for each problem that is written neatly on paper. Scores for these assignments will be updated at 3:45 pm.
This week, we will wrap up our unit on Parallel and Perpendicular Lines with a test on Monday. Tuesday and Wednesday will focus on connecting geometry to statistics through scatter plots, lines of best fit, and statistical questions.
On Thursday, we will begin Unit 3: Transformations by learning about reflections, and on Friday, we will continue with translations.
This week will continue working with properties of parallel and perpendicular lines and conclude this week with a review.
A special Zoom meeting will be held on Monday, September 8 at 10:30 for parents who have students in Mr. Jordan's class. We will discuss attendance and academic expectations. Please submit questions prior to the meeting by clicking the link below.

This week we will begin a new topic in Geometry.
In this topic, students focus on the properties of parallel lines and the angle relationships formed when parallel lines are cut by a transversal. The rest of the topic examines how these angle relationships can help prove whether or not lines are parallel, the relationships between parallel lines and triangle angles, and the relationships between the slopes of parallel and perpendicular lines.
I’m proud of the effort students are putting into their learning keep encouraging them to stay focused, ask questions, and practice daily. Together, we’re building strong problem-solving skills that will carry them far beyond the classroom!
Students will have a quiz on Wednesday August 20!
