ACCESSING TECHNOLOGY
Beaufort County School District offers many educational software and resources to support teaching and learning. The purpose of the 1EdTech website is to curate and describe these tools, indicate the appropriate audience for each, and provide access instructions. As you navigate through our 1EdTech TrustEd Apps Dashboard, you can use the filters to narrow down your grade level, content area, or other important factors to make informed decisions when planning instruction.
Direct link can be found in Classlink.
Beaufort County School District utilizes the single sign-on resource ClassLink as the launchpad for students and teachers to access many virtual resources. ClassLink is accessible from any device or computer with internet access. It is recommended that teachers and students in grades 2-12 use Chrome on their district-issued laptop while students in K-1 should use the Classlink app on their district-issued iPad. Students and teachers may access Classlink on a personal device through this site: https://launchpad.classlink.com/beaufort.
Beaufort County School District utilized the Windows Software Center as a way to push approved programs that need installed on devices as opposed to those accessible via the web. This prevents users from self-installing programs that have not been vetted for use that may contain malware or other viruses. If a software programs is approved and requires installation, users can open the Software Center on their device, search and install. More detailed steps can be found in the Support/How to Guides section of this site.
Whether you are looking for software for use for productivity, to use with a new piece of hardware, or for use with students for educational purposes, submitting a request is imperative. By submitting requests, the EdTech and Tech Services team can review technical specifications, data sharing, potential content redundancy, and more. Depending on what you are submitting, you will follow 1 of 2 ways to request software:
If the program is a free program: Submit a help ticket in One-to-One Plus. This will follow similar vetting on the technical side, but does not require all the required information for a purchased program.
If the software program has a fee: Work with your School Bookkeeper to follow the purchasing process at your school as well as completing a Software Request Form. You can review the form so you know what information is needed to complete the process.
