Researching Postsecondary Schools
Consider the following factors:
Academic Match - Do my test scores and GPA align with the school's averages? Will the teaching style at this institution help me learn?
Finances - Is this school affordable for me and my family?
Size - Do I want a large, medium, or small school?
Location - Do I want to be far away from home, stay local, or somewhere in between?
Program - Do they have the major or program that I am interested in studying?
Supports - Does this school offer the type of support services I need to succeed (tutoring, counseling, accessibility services, career services, etc.)?
Social - Do I feel like I could find friends at this school? Do they have the types of sports, clubs, and organizations I'm looking for?
