I have lived in Ohio since my family moved here in 2011. I decided to join JAGS in 8th grade because, as somebody whose mother and brother are from Brazil and have been there multiple times, I have always had an interest in foreign affairs, and JAGS provided a phenomenal opportunity to pursue that interest over my 4 years in high school. JAGS has helped me understand the globe on a social, political, and economic scale.  Currently, 5 of my peers and I are in the process of starting a company called Braveminds, aiding veterans and first responders suffering from PTSD. After advancing my mathematical and scientific skills, I am currently planning on attending an in-state college to study engineering. Currently, I am unsure of which branch of engineering to pursue, but I am likely to enroll in either mechanical or civil engineering.
