AUGUST: WELCOME BACK and LETS GO BEARS! Chromebook distribution will be held in our library. If you did not pick up your Chromebook & charger on the first day of school be sure to stop by the library.  Weeks 2-4 of August will be bookmark making. Want to watch a movie of your choice? Get connected to our library instagram page to vote on a selection of movies.  All activities in the library are free to participate. 

SEPTEMBER: Want a free comic book? Signup to receive a free comic book right here in our library!  Signups will begin September 1st until all comic books have been claimed. There is a limited quantity, so make sure you reserve yours before they are gone. Pickup day will be on National Comic Book Day on the last day of September. Also, visit the library all month during lunch to watch movies and create a collaborative comic page.

OCTOBER: This month is spooky fun! Let's get creative and decorate the library with spooky friendly designs, watch spooky movies and create your own custom Halloween bookmark!

NOVEMBER/DECEMBER: November is a time to give thanks! A hot cocoa station will be available as my way of saying thank you to those who patron the library. We will also be painting happy trees to celebrate the fall season. Week 3 will be game week, board games and more ! In December,  come in to make bookmarks, paint pinecone trees, and make friendship bracelets! 

JANUARY: January is Braille Literacy Month, in honor of the birthday of Louis Braille. Louis Braille was born on  January 4th, 1809. To celebrate, this month we are giving away an UNO game that has braille integrated into it.  This month we will learn our name in braille, have Instagram trivia on Braille, and decipher a phrase! In order to win the deck of Uno, you must decipher the phrase to have your name entered into the raffle.

FEBRUARY: This month will celebrate love and friendship! Come into the library to take part in making friendship bracelets, DIY cards, board games and Valentine trivia!

MARCH: Learn about some amazing women in history, guess how much gold is in the pot, make your own bookmark, and if you solve the crossword  you'll win a cookie party for the library!

APRIL:  April is National Poetry Month! Write a single page poem to be entered into our poetry contest! Prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place Winners! This is our second year creating a poetry binder filled with your poems! Stop by and take a look at last year's poetry binder filled with contest entries! Official rules and details regarding the contest will be posted on the home page and our library instagram bbhs_library. Come on by for poetry videos and a post-it poetry and book display. 

MAY: Stop into the library to create your own special gift for that Motherly figure in your life! Come join us for movies during finals. If you are a TA and are not taking a final, stop in and watch a movie!
