INTENT: I can explain the importance of internet addresses.

IMPLEMENTATION: Children created IP addresses and compared their ability to comprehend large amounts of information to a computers ability.

IMPACT: Children understood that IP addresses allow networks to talk to each other, as well as understanding that information i snot always private.

INTENT: I recognise how data is transferred across the internet

IMPLEMENTATION: Children created a physical network, which built on their knowledge of IP addresses. Messages were sent across the classroom using IP addresses and not names of people.

IMPACT: Children understood the advantage of using a computer to handle large amounts of data packets.

INTENT: I can work collaboratively online.

IMPLEMENTATION: Children accessed an online document at the same time. They altered the programming in Scratch and investigated the impact on the pre-programmed animation.

IMPACT: Children recognised that working online allows for multiple users to collaborate, learn and engage with a document at once, rather than the limitations of working offline.

INTENT: I understand how to communicate responsibly

IMPLEMENTATION: Children investigated and compared different forms of electronic communication and the features which may make them safe to use eg. private/public, one-way/two-way, age limits.

IMPACT: Children could identify what makes a safe environment for communication online.

INTENT: I know what makes a good website.

IMPLEMENTATION: Children explored a website and discussed the effectiveness of it's content and layout.

IMPACT: Children can identify who the audience is for a website and explain what makes it user friendly.

INTENT: I know how to layout a website.

IMPLEMENTATION: Children explored websites and took notes on their design and links.

IMPACT: Children can begin to create a website flow chart which shows how websites link together.

INTENT:  I know what copyright is and why it is important.

IMPLEMENTATION: Children investigated copyright in relation to image use.

IMPACT: Children can identify and use a source for copyright-free images.

INTENT: I can create a website

IMPLEMENTATION: Children used Google Sites and used their previous paper designs to inform their work.

IMPACT: Children can use Google Sites to create their own website with pages which link together around a theme.

INTENT:  I can create a website navigation path.

IMPLEMENTATION: Children created subpages within their design, using Google Sites.

IMPACT: Children can link together different pages within their own website based around a theme.

INTENT: I can recognise that you can work in 3D online

IMPLEMENTATION: Children investigated using a workplane and its associated features.

IMPACT: Children can add and remove objects from a workplane and view their objects in 3D.

INTENT:  I can create a 3D model for a given purpose.

IMPLEMENTATION: Children were given a brief and asked to make a simple design to fit a purpose.

IMPACT: Children can use CAD software to create a product fit for purpose.

INTENT: I can plan my own 3D model.

IMPLEMENTATION: Children investigated existing, 3D, online structures and models to inform their own design.

IMPACT: Children can plan a model, considering the various shapes and sizes needed.

INTENT: I can create my own 3D model using CAD software.

IMPLEMENTATION: Children used CAD software to create a  3D model of a house.

IMPACT: Children can manipulate objects on a workplane to represent a real world design.

INTENT: Create a variable and change its value.

IMPLEMENTATION: Children used Scratch to add a variable in to a code snippet and altered its value.

IMPACT: Children knew that  a variable held one value at a time and could code it approproately.

INTENT: I can alter multiple variables and their values. 

IMPLEMENTATION: Children added multiple sprites to a project and coded each  of them separately.

IMPACT: Children understood that code snippets have to be created for multiple sprites.

INTENT: I can manipulate variables to achieve a given purpose.
