Believe Belong Become
The STEM and Architecture group met with contacts from Clarion Homes and leant about the Maths involved in Design. They worked with our DT department to build mock ups of potential structures for shelters for the Y10 playground. They also visited ‘Store Store’ in Coal Drop Yard to see some interesting design and architectural projects.

Trip to Store-Store
Year 10, as part of their work experience, visited STORE STORE in Coal Drop Yard. STORE STORE is a shop and design link that provides a series of after school clubs to local state school students. Students can visit the workshops and design their own prototypes and then sell them to the public in the shop. The royalties go to a good cause of the students' choice.
Store Store is also offering an Architectural workshop for students who are interested in taking part over the Summer holidays. Some of the Year 10's were really interested in coming back to take part in their Aummer project and thought that it was also something they could share with siblings.
Sectors
Our students worked on a project for a week in these sectors. The following week, we held a celebration festival where student could see what each group had created. Prizes were also awarded for the student who displayed the most outstanding LORIC skills from each sector.
