These are excerpts from demonstration sessions in the studio classroom. Art-making is one of the three core areas in the DP VA curriculum. Students are encouraged to try, explore, and experiment with as many art media as possible.

Painting with Acrylics

Enlarging a Drawing

18 January 2023

I used my grayscale graphite dog drawing for enlarged rendering in a canvas. As the original drawing has archival value for me, I decided to photocopy it and drew the grid on the photocopy. [link here]
