Treatment plans are developed during the first session, with and for you. While we are flexible throughout the course of treatment to meet you where you are at, modalities commonly used are rooted in the following theories or therapies:
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
Brief Solution-Focused Therapy
Attachment Theory
Play Therapy
Systems Theory
Relational and Behavioral Interventions
Mindfulness
We take special focus on "treating the whole person" through Evidence-Based Treatments. This means we will identify and target areas within one's habits, routines, diets, spiritual practices, relationships, or other areas to address pain points and barriers preventing healing. We will use therapeutic techniques that have been demonstrated to improve functioning and decrease suffering. For our littlest clients, we operate under Garry Landruth's teachings -- "In play therapy, toys are viewed as the child's words and play as the child's language -- a language of activity."
