Use this page to look at, listen to, and research the different instruments available to beginners.When parents and students come to our Instrument Tryout & Rental, the music teachers will be available to give more guidance to help your student choose an instrument that he/she will succeed on!

Band Instruments

Note: Band instruments are usually rented from a store. The music stores Ward Brodt and White House of Music will be at our Instrument Tryout and Rental Events to answer questions and set up instrument rentals (we provide these options as a convenience, but families are welcome to get instruments elsewhere as well)

Note: Some band instruments are not included for beginners. At BDUSD we wait until the second year of playing to move students to bassoon, tenor and bari sax, and percussion.
