Preparing for the Blue Dragon Marathon Walk 2024

The Blue Dragon Marathon Walk is a great way for your school to support Blue Dragon while building engagement, awareness and fitness in your own community. 

The walk is supported by the Intrepid Foundation who manage all the fundraising logistics. This makes joining the walk super easy.  The fundraising platform for 2024 is now open at www.bluedragonwalk.org  and contact us at schools@bdcf.org for updates and support.

For our school supporters, there are a bunch of different ways we can help you get involved -- from sharing advice and suggestions from other schools, to providing you with images and promotional materials. The online fundraising platform will support you to create a unique community-building page to manage fundraising for your school. You'll be able to cheer each other on through your school page and each individual will get progress updates as you meet your fundraising goals.

How schools have adapted the Blue Dragon Marathon Walk.

Some schools broke into teams of four doing 10.5 kilometres each, others walked with their family and friends. A few completed their walk over a number of days, instead of all at once, which made it far more achievable. Others walked alone, completing either 21 or 42 kilometres in one day. The official date of the walk is Sunday September 8th, but there is a lot of flexibility. Talk to us about a date that works for you.

By taking part in the Blue Dragon Marathon Walk, you will make sure that young people living in poverty will be able to attend school and vocational training, reducing their risk of being targetted by human traffickers.
