July
Fairness: to treat everyone in a consistently impartial way (not to play favorites).
Fairness does not denote agreement; rather it indicates that the fair person has considered the other’s perspective as fully as possible.
August
Respect: showing high regard for authority; for other people, teachers, and administration; for property; and for your country.
Understanding that all people have value as human beings. Our respect displays our belief in their importance and worth.
Self-Respect: showing high regard and consideration for self
Understanding that treating others properly begins by treating ourselves correctly and not indulging in negative self behaviors or thinking.
September
Responsibility: being accountable for one’s actions.
While we are accountable for our actions and decisions, we are also accountable for the results of those decisions and actions. Be dependable in carrying out obligations and duties.
October
Cooperation: acting together willingly for a common purpose.
Working together in a helpful manner.
November
Good Judgment: careful consideration in making decisions.
Choosing worthy goals and setting proper priorities; thinking through the consequences of your actions; basing decisions on practical wisdom and good sense.
December
Kindness: to treat others with caring and compassion; showing or having a gentle considerate nature.
Acting out of concern and thoughtfulness for self, others, and property. Being courteous, helpful, and understanding of others. Treating others as you would like to be treated.
January
Self-Discipline: demonstrating hard work and commitment to purpose; regulating yourself and restraining from inappropriate behavior.
Sticking to and following through on an commitment. Being in control of your words, actions, impulses, and desires.
February
Forgiveness: ability to cease feelings of resentment toward an offender.
Ability to excuse a wrong or wrongdoer; courage will be needed to be forgiving in the face of pressure to do otherwise.
March
Integrity: complete honesty; being truthful with yourself and others.
Refusing to lie, steal, cheat, deceive, or take advantage of the trust of others. Doing the right thing even when no one is looking.
April
Perseverance: staying with a task; not giving up.
To complete the job you start, no matter what obstacle you have to overcome.
May
Citizenship: duty that lies beyond one’s self-interest; honoring and contributing to the laws, policies, and human rights of society.
Good citizens cooperate with others, obey laws and rules, respect the authority of parents, teachers, and others. They protect the environment by helping to create a harmonious school atmosphere that’s free from threats, weapons, and violent or disruptive behavior.

Courage: the ability to persevere and withstand danger, difficulty, or fear.
Having the determination to do the right thing even when others don’t and the strength to follow your conscience rather than the crowd; attempting difficult things that are worthwhile regardless of the consequences.
