A little about me!
Hey sixth grade family and friends. I am so excited to be your child's sixth grade teacher this year!! This will be my 29th year teaching (I know, I can't believe it either) and my 5th year here at Leland Middle School- Go Tigers! I received my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill- Go HEELS! I have a daughter at App State and a son at UNC Chapel Hill! My father was in the Air Force so I traveled around a lot when I was younger but have been a proud resident of Southport/Oak Island for the past 20 years.
I love to read and the kids can tell you, I spend the first few minutes of class everyday reading right along with them. Books are my passion!!
I know this year is going to be amazing and by working together, we can accomplish so much! Keep up the good work Tigers!
