Hello, I am Kelly Funderburk! I am from Raleigh, North Carolina, grew up a Tar Heel Fan and love being around my friends and family. I started my college career off at The University of Mount Olive to play basketball. After two years, I realized I wanted to focus on school and I transferred to The University of North Carolina at Wilmington where I received my bachelors in arts with a degree in special education. I spend my first two years post college teaching at Laney High School in the adapted program. I recently took a year off from teaching to explore other opthions but quickly realized I missed being in the classroom with my students. I am super excited to start my first year at NBHS. I spend a lot of my free time playing sports, traveling, hanging out with my friends, and being by the beach. This year is going to be a great one.
