Health Education

What to expect?

The Health & PE program in grades 6-8 encourages the development of physical, mental, social, emotional, spiritual, and environmental health, which will be carried over in the high school program. The middle school Health Education program will consist of 5 units: mental and emotional health (MEH), personal and consumer health (PCH), nutrition and physical activity (NPA), interpersonal communication & relationships (ICR), and alcohol tobacco & other drugs (ATOD). A planned and sequential 6-8 health & physical education curriculum collectively articulates what students should know and be able to do to adopt or maintain health-enhancing behaviors.
