Throughout this semester we will explore literature through its basic explorations and discoveries, identity and culture, conflict and oppression, as well as an overall marketplace of ideas. What follows are basic class expectations which will allow us to do well this year. 

This is a junior level class meaning there are junior level expectations. Junior year is arguably the hardest year of high school with ACT testing, sending out college applications, generally (still) normalizing the lasting effects of the pandemic, and just being a teenager and a junior in high school. 

I understand the difficultly of the past few years and that change takes a lot to get used to AND things are still continuously changing. Regardless, our experiences in the past have taught us much and we are all a little stronger for getting to this point. This means that  we will be better and do better throughout the 2023/2024.

In general  though, don't worry yourselves too much because you are not alone and we will get through this semester together!
