These are due daily and must be complete before the Unit Summative Assessment. Only students who are absent or have documented extended time are permitted to turn in after the due date.  Work that is not turned in on time will remain a 0 and will not be accepted, but will be replaced by the Unit Summative Assessment grade.

We will use county made unit tests that must stay in the classroom at all times. Students who do poorly will be pulled for FLEX with a chance to remediate and re-assess.  If a student is absent, the grade will remain a 0 until they make up the test during FLEX. 

All students are required to take the NC EOC which counts as 20% of the students final grade. To calculate a student's final grade:

0.8(Average of Q1/Q2) + 0.2(EOC Score)

The EOC is curved on a county grading scale and cannot be changed by the teacher

Students who are not proficient CAN retake the EOC and the better of the two scores will be recorded. Parents must sign permission to retest forms.
