Meet Mr. Gorgiev

My name is Ivan Gorgiev, and I am excited to begin my 13th year in education and my 6th year at NBHS. I am passionate about creating an inclusive and supportive classroom where every student feels valued, challenged, and empowered to succeed.

I speak three languages and am currently working toward learning a fourth, which has strengthened my appreciation for language learning and the experiences of multilingual students. I use a variety of instructional strategies, differentiated learning approaches, and classroom supports to meet the unique needs of my students and help them develop strong reading, communication, and critical-thinking skills.

As a teacher, I believe in building positive relationships, celebrating student growth, and providing encouragement that helps students stay motivated and confident. I also value multicultural learning and strive to create a classroom environment where students' languages, cultures, and individual experiences are respected and celebrated.
