Welcome! This semester we'll be using scientific inquiry and project-based learning to dive deep into non-living systems. The physical science curriculum is organized into two main parts - physics and chemistry. This course will introduce students to key concepts and theories that provide a foundation for further study in other sciences and advances science disciplines.
Our class structure is as follows:
Unit Zero: Experimental Design
Unit One: Properties of Matter
Unit Two: Atomic Structure
Unit Three: Elements and the Periodic Table
Unit Four: Chemical Bonding
Unit Five: Chemical Reactions
Unit Six: Solutions (Acids/Bases)
Unit Seven: Radioactivity
Unit Eight: Forces and Motion
Unit Nine: Energy
Unit Ten: Electricity and Magnetism
Unit Eleven: Waves
