CURRICULUM OVERVIEW
Curriculum for General Music Classes in Grade 8, builds on foundational music skills based on NC's Arts Education Standards, and includes 4 core artistic processes: Creating, Performing, Responding, and Connecting.
At CGMS, our general music class places emphasis on real-world application and music production. Students enjoy exploring modern music history, contributions to music throughout history, copyright, careers in the music industry, creating Foley sound and short digital audio projects.
