What Is a Wellness Coach?

Each school will identify one Wellness Coach to support the challenge.

This role is about coordination and motivation. 

Wellness Coach Responsibilities

The Wellness Coach will:

• Serve as the school’s main contact

• Help ensure staff complete the Google Form

• Monitor participation through the StepUp app

• Report step totals or summaries as requested

• Encourage participation and positivity

This is a support role. 

Who Can Be a Wellness Coach?

• Any staff member (PE teacher preferred)

• Someone organized and communicative

• Someone willing to encourage others

You do not need special training or fitness expertise. 

Support for Wellness Coaches

• Clear instructions will be provided

• Simple reporting expectations

• District support throughout the challenge
