Healthful Living Curriculum Grade 7
Grade 7 Overview
"Foundations for Healthy Living" - We introduce students to the basics of mental and emotional health, personal wellness, and the importance of environmental stewardship. Through engaging lessons, we cover stress management, disease prevention, and the value of healthy interpersonal communication.
Local Adaptations for Reproductive Health Education
To further support students during these foundational years, reproductive health education in Grade 7 follows local adaptations to ensure transparency and comfort:
Curriculum Accessibility and Opt-Out Process: The locally approved curriculum is available on the district website for review, with an opt-out option for families who choose not to participate.
Gender-Separated Instruction: Reproductive health lessons involving sex or gender-specific content are taught in gender-separated classes, ensuring comfort, privacy, and effective learning for all students.
These measures reflect our commitment to creating a safe, respectful, and supportive learning environment for every student.
