How to set up a Twitter account - Be sure to tell YOUR story. To whatever extent possible, use your REAL name when setting up a Twitter account. HOWEVER, avoid creating a username associated with your school or job title. Those things change. Include them in your profile - it's easier to update. Your Twitter self should be true to who you are in general, not just the educator you. Be human.
The importance of your Twitter profile - Use the limited characters you have to share a little about your role and what you value. Also be sure to upload both a profile and cover photo that help tell your story. Those you follow should be able to tell you are not a bot!
Once you are ready, be sure to share your information HERE so our growing BCS Twitter family can find - and follow - you! (pssst - The spreadsheet of BCS tweeps is embedded on the Find Your Flock page)
Sharing is Caring - Be transparent! Share your journey with your school families by embedding your tweets on your Google site. Here's a quick tutorial on how to make that happen. This trick will help you keep your tweets in check and find that balance between work you and home you.
