Hello!

I having been teaching social studies since 2014 when I graduated from Winthrop University with a degree in History. I spent two years teaching World History, US History, & Yearbook in the state of South Carolina before moving to Asheville and continuing my career at Charles D. Owen High in 2016.

I'm originally from Fayetteville, NC (where most of my family still lives). I enjoy spending my free time traveling and adventuring around WNC with my Husband & pup, Loki.

Here at Owen, I have had the honor of serving as the Social Studies Department Head & 2023 Owen District Teacher of the Year. I also advise the following student organizations:

• Student Government (2016-present)

• Yearbook Staff (2017-2020)

• Senior Link Crew Advisor (2022-present)
