MS. ALYSON

hello!

I am so excited to be your child's teacher for the 2022-2023 school year! I look forward to getting to know the families who make our students so wonderful, and wanted you to know a little about me, too! I was born and raised in Asheville and fell in love with the world of Special Education during my time as a student at TC Roberson where I was a Progressive Education Program Peer Tutor. I went on to receive my undergraduate and graduate degrees in Special Education at Appalachian State. While I was there, I also attained a Reading Licensure and Autism Certification. This year will be my fifth year working in this classroom. It is truly my second home and my second family. I adore my job and have a great team of assistants and student families to thank for that! My goal for this school year is to create a safe and comfortable classroom environment where students can reach their fullest potential. Thank you for supporting us as we set goals and make school a place of growth!
