Welcome to third grade, I am SO excited to be your third grade teacher! I just love third graders!! Third grade is a year of BIG changes! It’s the year that students make the transition of learning to read to reading to learn. It is amazing how much third graders grow and change throughout the school year!

I grew up, right here, in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina. I graduated from Reynolds High School and went on to receive my Bachelors in Elementary Education from Mars Hill College. I began working in Buncombe County Schools in 2012, and joined the Black Mountain family in 2017.

I married my wonderful husband in 2008 and we have 2 beautiful children and one 80 pound, energy-filled pup! In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, camping and exploring new places. I also enjoy crafting, cooking/baking, Atlanta Braves baseball, Amazon shopping, and snow!
