Problem Solvers

I am currently in the process of working with first grade teachers to identify the first round of Problem Solvers.

Problem Solvers

Second graders are working on Honeycomb Puzzles.  There are numbers in some of the honeycombs, and others are blank.  They have to fill in the blank honeycombs so that there is one path that connects all of the numbers in order.

Talent Development

Third graders have begun with math puzzles that involve skip counting.  Some numbers are placed in a grid and students must connect the numbers that skip count to form a pattern.  However, they can't have their paths cross, and sometimes there are two sets of numbers that are in the pattern.

AIG

Fourth grade AIG students are starting the year with a mystery!  We are reading the book The Eleventh Hour by Graeme Base and trying to solve the mystery!  We will start each class with a few minutes of sleuthing until we solve it!  They will also do an interest inventory this week to see what they might be interested in working on this year.
