Growth and Development
The Growth and Development (Puberty Education) Program is part of the 4th, 5th, and 6th grade Healthful Living Essential Teaching Standards. The information is presented by BCS Reproductive Health Educators. In grades 4-6, the students are separated by gender for the classes. The outlines for the curriculum are below. Grades 4-5 will receive a permission form that must be signed and sent back to the school before classes begin, in order for your child to participate. Grade 6 will receive a parent form with information about the curriculum and program. These forms do not need to be returned.
