I am so excited to be spending this time with you!
So... I was born many moons ago in NYC. I graduated from Florida International University with both my Bachelors and Masters in Special Education. After graduation, I began my teaching career as a 6th grade teacher for dyslexic students at American Heritage School in Plantation Florida.
Moving to the beautiful mountains of western North Carolina, I began teaching math and science to dyslexic middle school students at Carolina Day Key School. It was at Carolina Day Key School that I had the opportunity to train in Orton Gillingham.
Once my own children began high school, I was inspired to teach high school mathematics in a general education setting at TC Roberson High School in Asheville.
Currently, I am the Exceptional Children's Curriculum and Instructional Specialist for Buncombe County Schools. I also serve as the NCSIP Western Region Math Coach.

I have a beautiful family, Matthew, Samantha and her wife Erin , and Jason. We adore our three precious dogs Harper, Tessie and Crazy Pepper.
