DIGITAL LEARNING PLAN

Buncombe County Schools, now a K-12 one-to-one school system, is committed to preparing students for their tomorrow by continuing to transform teaching and learning to meet the unique needs of all learners.

As of June 2019, the NC Department of Public Instruction requires 2 DLC credits (20 hours) for teacher licensure renewal. To support teachers, BCS has implemented a personalized Digital Learning Plan (DLP) which integrates seamlessly into each teacher’s annual PDP. The DLP provides a roadmap for teachers as they acquire additional skills to create high-quality digital learning environments. These goals will align to the new NC Digital Learning Competencies for Teachers.

Each year teachers complete a FORM to help create a Digital Learning Plan/Goal and use it as a PDP goal for their evaluation.
